my great aunt lula sayne o'hearn woulda been 95 today. she passed on inauguration day, just 3 days shy of turning 95, but i'm gonna give it to her b/c technically she almost completed the year. she was a world traveler, always happy and smiling, could talk a blue streak, and she never had any children so lots of us nieces and nephews kept her company. her partner passed over 30 years ago so she's been waiting a while to reconnect.as for us left here, i'm already sleepin in her former bedroom suite, and sportin a few old london fog overcoats that she handed down, and i hope she knows that a little piece of me is with her today like the ones of her with me. after all, she showed me much kindness. rest in peace lula and happy birthday!
