aubrey surprised me and arranged a truckload of flowers from the garden center on my front steps in the shape of a heart for valentine's day. we had talked about what we both expected on gift occasions in hopes of pleasing and yet still surprising each other. i told him of my favorite flowers and not to waste money on cliche roses or roadside stand flowers that die soon after purchase. it was springtime and i needed to spruce up the yard so voila, he made the wisest choice in ages, flowers for my garden. i like the way he thinks; and we planted them together. in fact, we went back to the store and bought enough to do his yard too!
i've moved back and forth across the u.s. and traveled the globe and now i'm sitting still...for a bit...in georgia. come sit on my new deck under the pecan trees and i'll tell you a few stories about where i've been and where i'm goin next. oh, and it turns out i've found myself...i'm a cyclist. fancy that.
