so yesterday i summoned my courage and met an online pursuer for lunch and boating. he had written for over a month and survived all my sarcastic attacks on his nasty smoking habit and still intrigued me and made me laugh. (yes he's the guy i wrote about below). life is funny isn't it?anyway, it was such a gorgeous break in the hurricane season weather that i played hooky from work. the day was a fabulous success. what a relief! we met at a deli, had some lemonade and quickly agreed to head out for the boat and a day on the lake. with only the 2 of us, it didn't make sense to waterski and other solitary things so we chatted and swam and later ended up grilling out for dinner. when i drove home later, i was all abuzz with the giddiness one feels after a successful first date.
